RESEARCH GOVERNANCE

Bitcoin research must remain reproducible.

This policy explains who produces BTC Regime research, how evidence is calculated, what must be disclosed, and how errors or methodology changes are handled.

Authorship and review

Research is produced by the BTC Regime project at Unlime and reviewed against the published detector specification, source data cutoff, statistical rules, and rendered disclosures before release. We do not assign a personal byline where no individual external author exists.

Data and event timing

Coinbase BTC-USD completed candles are the canonical source. Every historical classification uses only information observable at that timestamp. Open candles may update live charts but do not enter confirmed research events. Bitstamp evidence remains an independent venue replay.

Bitcoin halvings are anchored to their verified block height and timestamp. A future halving is identified by its exact consensus target block, but any displayed calendar date is explicitly an estimate. Halving return windows begin at the first completed daily close after the block event; incomplete future endpoints remain unavailable rather than projected.

Statistical disclosure

Each study reports raw and chronological non-overlapping populations, forward horizons, distribution, win rate, maximum adverse excursion, sample confidence, temporal validation, parameter sensitivity, and exchange robustness when available. Small samples remain visible but cannot receive a stronger interpretation than their declared gate permits.

Halving results always retain the completed-event count and structural-limit warning. Historical cycle similarity, return compression, or a positive median is descriptive evidence and is never presented as proof that the protocol event caused an outcome or that a prior path will repeat.

Model changes and corrections

A material change to a detector, threshold, score, source contract, or validation rule requires a new entry in the public model ledger. Data refreshes may update live outcomes without changing the event definition. Confirmed calculation or copy errors are corrected transparently and recorded in the next appropriate release note.

Editorial boundaries

Pages are written to explain original platform evidence, not to manufacture search traffic. BTC Regime does not publish price targets, guaranteed outcomes, paid rankings, undisclosed promotional placements, or personalized trading instructions.
